Research Interests My research is at the intersection of beliefs and online social systems to study how individuals/groups express, recognize, adopt, extinguish, and revise attitudes in online social environments using mixed-methods approaches. I also use applied natural language processing and machine learning to develop models to automatically predict and classify phenomena of interest in support of aggregate community analysis, planning, and moderation. Currently I am studying non-standard belief formation.
